The steaks are great! The in season seafood is even better. The restaurant is tucked into a secluded area 5 minutes off of I405 next to the stream connecting Lake Washington to Lake Sammamish (Sammamish River). The restaurant building is on the national historic register as one of the first structures on the east side. Russell Lowell is the owner and is an active supporter of WA state wines. The restaurant has a great wine list. The staff is very knowledgeable about food and wine too. I have been a fan for 15 years!
LVBellevue, WAApril 01, 2026We dined early so were able to take advantage of their incredible happy hour menu. Cocktails and a select menu were available for a discounted price. The food was excellent and the martinis divine. We enjoyed the filet minion burger sliders and prawns as well as their delicious Caesar salads. I highly recommend Russell's if you're in the Bothell area.

My wife had scallops and I had a NY strip steak, both of which were perfectly cooked and served with the appropriate side dishes. Russells has become our special evening place as we celebrated our wedding anniversary during this past visit.
