• Always a pleasure to dine in this restaurant. Lunchtime atmosphere is casual with lots of natural light in the beautiful dining room. Joined a martini lunch group for fun, cheer, and a great meal. Excellent, friendly and attentive wait staff helps make selections and always has good recommendations. I ordered from the Houston Restaurant Weeks lunch menu. Started with exceptional roasted oysters. I'd like to come back for a dozen or two. I also ordered a small Caesar salad which is wonderful there. Entree was a hangar steak frites but I upgraded to a filet and it was perfect as were the frites, dusted with parmesan and served with a spicy aioli. All that and a couple of martinis and you have a perfect lunch!

• We went for HRW. The oysters were well seasoned and cooked just right, as were the steaks. Great value for a $25 lunch!!! We added a croissant bread pudding as dessert. Yummm!!!

• First impressions are good - good location, properly designed dining room with appropriate upscale ambiance. Our waiter was clearly well informed, and might be described as almost too promotional in his description of the methods and craft of food prep; enthusiasm was noticed. The Caesar Salad was solidly good, the Short Rib Ravioli was very satisfying - flavor, texture, temperature and appearance were all A+. My company enjoyed filets, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts all enjoyed except for the pricy Lobster Mac N Cheese which was too dry and lacked "cheesyness". All in all, I'd recommend Fielding's as a good neighborhood night out treat!
