Beity is a gem- a beautifully hidden secret, it seems. The atmosphere is truly unique: a blend of a modern, sophisticated restaurant and the mystical intimacy of the Old World, evoking a time when people lingered over many small, delicious dishes, sipped wine for hours, talked, laughed, and connected. The menu captures exactly that spirit. Creative Middle Eastern small plates arrive one after another, each distinctive and beautifully prepared, leaving you pleasantly satisfied without ever feeling overwhelmed. The setting is exquisite, and the service impeccable. The wine selection makes the experience even more special, featuring Lebanese and Palestinian wines rarely found elsewhere - wines that somehow seem to carry the sun, warmth, and beauty of those lands. Restaurant manager Olivia, formerly an award-winning Michelin-caliber "drinks mastermind," has stepped into her current role with remarkable grace and class. Even the smallest details feel considered. Watching her stop by the table to pour water from a small, ancient-looking amphora added yet another memorable touch to an already extraordinary evening. Beity is not simply a place to have dinner- it is a place to slow down, discover flavors, share conversation, and enjoy the increasingly rare pleasure of lingering around a table.
RDChicago , ILAugust 23, 2026We did the Lebanese tasting menu. One of us got a cocktail, the other drank tap water. Our bill was almost $400. Now, we knew the pricing before we ordered, but the value is not there. This is approaching Michelin pricing without the quality. The meal was fine, it started off with excellent spreads, and the small bites were rather good. Then when we were about mostly full, out came a half chicken. No way we could eat this! We took most of it home. The pacing of the courses was pretty slow and we were there for way longer than we expected. I will say our server was nice and tried to make it a pleasurable experience. The bill included a 20% service charge (which I don't mind), but then it included an additional 3% service charge for employee wellness or some BS. This is completely unnecessary and just makes you feel like you're getting nickel-and-dimed.
