RPBirmingham, MIApril 28, 2026The Caucus Club I think of as one of the best steakhouses in the city - but on a Friday during Lent I found myself at the bar for dinner and explored their seafood menu. They had several great options and I settled on the Yellow Belly Michigan Lake Perch. It was excellent, generous portion with mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, and caper sauce. The staff seems to all be long term team members - the familiar faces every visit create a friendly casual atmosphere in an upscale setting. It has turned into one of my favorite places for a martini and steak (and sometimes seafood!)
