The flavors were bright and fresh and rich and inventive and a welcome reprieve from a typical Chicago steakhouse. Several of us agreed it was among the best meals-or at least the best individual dishes-we've ever had. The croquettes were a highlight with a delicious, crispy exterior and a rich, savory filling of chicken and bechamel. The beefsteak tartareis akin to eating the most perfect summer tomato with just the right amount of acidity and seasoning. It was truly one of the best dishes I've ever had. My table mates quite enjoyed and swooned over the Philly Cheese steak. Several ribeyes and filets were ordered. They were perfectly cooked and so tender they practically melt in your mouth. while the Duchess potatoes stand out as a side slightly crispy on the outside and creamy inside. The real showstopper is the roast suckling pig with its shatteringly crispy skin and tender, juicy pork eaten on a piece of lettuce that had been topped with a tomato, pepper and vinaigrette. It comprised of the most perfect bite ever! The Basque cheesecake was the perfect end to such a meal. It's goat and cream cheese were light, creamy, and elevated by a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of salt that truly makes the dish. We can't wait to go back. Make your reservation today.
