About

Bringing a new frontier of Southeast Asian dining to Old Town Pasadena, Bone Kettle offers a refined but still bold menu that will entice any foodie who craves a modern Asian dining experience. Inspired by his travels across Indonesia and the heirloom recipes from his mother and grandmother, Chef Erwin infuses old with new, creating irresistible dishes from local ingredients and time-honored cooking techniques. On the menu are dishes like the namesake Bone Kettle noodles and broth. Slowly simmered for 36-hours and loaded with your choice of proteins and noodles, each bowl is wholesome, delicious, and oh-so satisfying. Rice plates, stir-fried dishes, sandwiches served banh mi-style on French baguette, and entrees like beef ribs with bone marrow jus and rendang carbonara with 24-hour braised short ribs are also tempting choices. There are menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch (Fridays through Sundays), each with a stunning array of enticing selections. A tasteful collection of wines and beers are available from the bar, and with exceptional service, every minute of your visit at Bone Kettle will be outstanding.   • A location known for its bone broth, has a variety of offering, mostly meat but with some seafood and vegetarian options. Atmosphere is great but be ready to wait even once seated. We went on a Friday evening and it took a long time to order and get served. We enjoyed the papaya salad, the prawns and noodles and green beans. Not crazy about the calamari, as they tend to be too sweet.

  • This will now be my go-to happy hour spot in the Pasadena area. Excellent oysters , probably the best chicken satay I've ever had. And really good sangria! Looking forward to trying other offerings on the happy hour menu
