Joe Muer Seafood is one of the Midwest's premier seafood restaurants. Located in the center of upscale Bloomfield Hills, Joe Muer is a historic Detroit brand that was established in 1929 and resurrected in 2011. The menu reflects old Muer traditions as well as new, modern classics along with daily chef created chalkboard features. Try classics like oysters Rockefeller, braised short ribs, lobster tail, filet mignon, and Alaskan king crab legs. For something new, try one of their rotating chalkboard dishes like the Baja fish tacos with avocado salsa, caramelized onions and chipotle cream. They also offer extra special culinary experiences like the whole roasted Mediterranean branzino and Dover sole, which is filleted table-side and dressed with a delicious lemon butter. If you're looking for the freshest raw seafood, check out Joe Muer's traditional raw bar or sushi bar with its beautiful blue granite, and for dessert, any of the creations by the in-house award-winning pastry chef are divine. I always wanted to check it out. Yes the menu is pricey but I bet it would have tasted really good but we just did soup and salad which I enjoyed but my wife ended up not feeling well so we left without dessert. We both thought that our waiter also took really good care of us. His name is Lee
