Prime 29 was an amazing restaurant elevated food atmosphere and service with several food options
HHDearborn Heights , MIAugust 30, 2026My wife and I planned to spend our anniversary here and we had a gift card given to us a few years ago. When the bill arrived our waiter Nicholas told us that they had switched to a new type of gift card and nobody there knew how to process the older cards and that we should keep the card for another time when we could return and hopefully someone else could access the gift card funds. I asked to speak to the manager Mike and he took the caro and 20 minutes later the waiter took $25 off the bill. My original gift card had $50 on it. I was tired of waiting to protest any further. The restaurant dia not provide any type of compensation for the inconvenience or any special recognition of our anniversary except a placard on the table. Not sure if this is typical of this particular restaurant or an unfortunate oversight but I am used to far better treatment from Joe Barbart's other restaurants which I have frequently enjoyed . We did see many other tables with celebratory desserts and sparkler candles and we were unsure if we were overlooked. However the food was prepared well and the ambiance is very nice. I also was surprised to see an automatic 20% tip on my bill for a party of 2.
MBFranklin , MIAugust 25, 2026The service and food were definitely top tier. I ordered the 8oz filet and it was so tender. It was the perfect place for a girls night and birthday dinner combined. We had a great time.

We waited 45 minutes for our entrees to be brought to the table, had to send the lamb chops back because they were way undercooked, and then waited again until they were properly cooked. We also waited about 20-25 minutes for our cocktails to be brought out from the bar when we first sat down. The poor service ruined the overall experience.
